Our Story

Founded in 1998 by a group of equestrian enthusiasts who shared a passion for horses, open space, and community, Carolina Horse Park has grown into a vibrant equestrian venue and gathering place in the Sandhills of North Carolina.

As a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit corporation, every competition, educational program, and community event supports our commitment to excellence in sport, stewardship of the land, and meaningful engagement with the people we serve.

Don Warren

Don grew up in an equestrian family on horse farms, raising, training, fox hunting, and competing for over 50 years. He has built and operated four farms and lives on his horse farm in Southern Pines, NC. With over 40 years of professional experience in oil, chemical, and bio-based industries, his mission is to drive sustainable growth at the Carolina Horse Park, building on its past success to benefit the future of all equestrian sports in the Carolinas.
